Ingredients for Rajma

  • Red Kidney Beans – 1 cup (soaked overnight)
  • Cinnamon Sticks – 1
  • Cardamom (small and big) – 2-2 each
  • Onions – 2 finely chopped
  • Tomato – 3 finely chopped
  • Garlic – 6 cloves
  • Ginger – 1 small size shredded
  • Green Chilies – 2 finely chopped
  • Coriander Leaves – for garnishing
  • Dhania Powder – 2 tablespoon
  • Garam Masala Powder – 1 tablespoon
  • Red Chili Powder – 1 tablespoon
  • Turmeric Powder – ½ tablespoon
  • Dry Cumin Powder – ½ tablespoon
  • Salt – to taste
  • Oil – 2 tablespoon
  • Milk Cream – 2 tablespoon
  • Butter – 50 grams

Ingredients for Chawal (Rice)

Rice – 1 cup

Water – 2 cup

Salt – one pinch

Recipe for Rajma

  • Wash Rajma and turn it in a pressure cooker
  • Add water, salt and crushed garlic (this will help in removing the pungent ness of garlic)
  • Boil pre soaked Rajma in a pressure cooker.
  • Heat oil in a kadahi
  • Now add cinnamon sticks and cardamoms
  • Add onion and fry it till it becomes transparent
  • Now add tomatoes and ginger in it
  • Add dhania powder, turmeric and red chili powder
  • Cook till it starts releasing aroma
  • When the spices separates oil or when the tomatoes are done add boiled Rajma.
  • Cook for 5 minutes
  • Now add garam masala and turn off the flame
  • Garnish with milk cream and coriander
  • At the time of serving add butter.

Recipe for Chawal (Rice)

  • Soak rice 15 minutes prior to cooking
  • Now add water and salt in rice and pressure cook for one whistle.
  • Serve hot with Rajma.
