Simple Ways to Attain Deep Meditation

Meditation being the ancient science for healing mind, body and soul has become very popular in all over the world from India. Due to its numerous benefits a heavy of people are regularly practising to attain meditation to start their day with full energy and positive attitude towards life. It has the magnetic powers to relieve stress, help certain health conditions, aid in relaxation and help you achieve an overall sense of well-being.

Essentially, meditation brings your mind, body and spirit into a complete state of relaxation and peace which is actually easier to do than you think. With all of these benefits, everyone should meditate on a daily basis but must follow to meditate properly with the following four steps.

 1: Find the Correct Spot

It is mandatory to choose a place either in your house, office or outdoors that is private and quiet. The room must be blessed with complete silence. There should be no people, no external sounds of any electronic devices, the phone, television, computer and radio. If you want music in the room then play only soft and natural instrumental sound in very low volume.


 2: Get into Lotus Position

Our yoga gurus always suggests to sit straight and in comfortable position on the floor to meditate properly, or other best way is to either on a plush rug or on a pillow. In case, if you are not able to sit on the floor catch a couch or chair to position straight and keep your spine in alignment with your muscles relaxed. Always be in the position of lotus to have full effect of meditations.

To be in lotus postures just sit straight on the floor and cross your legs in front of you. Your left ankle should be on your right thigh and your right ankle should be on your left thigh. Sit up tall so your spine, neck and head are aligned. Drop your arms so that the back of your hands are resting against the tops of your thighs and bring the tip of your thumb to touch the tips of the other fingers on each hand.

3: Relax Your Body

Starting at the top of your head and relax every muscle group all the way through your toes. Once your body is fully relaxed and free of tension, begin deep breathing. Inhale deeply through your nose for 5 seconds and then exhale slowly through your mouth for 5 seconds. Thus, continue deep breathing until it becomes automatic.

4: Clear Your Mind

Clear your mind from all the thoughts and just focus to repeat a word “ohmmmm”. Though this is usually the toughest part during meditation but every time you meditate it becomes easier. All you need to do is not think about anything, say anything or focus on anything whether it is external or internal.

Repeating these steps will allow yourself to fully relax your mind and body to add on the many benefits of meditation. Thus, meditating every day for at least 10 minutes will serve you wellness and happiness in your life.
